Iroko Psychiatry was founded to bridge long-standing gaps and expand access to high-quality psychiatry and therapy across multiple states.
We combine in-person visits with secure telehealth and virtual psychiatry services, ensuring that patients can access timely, expert mental health care without unnecessary barriers.
Our model integrates psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy into one cohesive, collaborative experience. We are commited to making modern mental health services accessible, measurable, and centered around real lives.
In many African traditions, the Iroko tree represents strength, endurance, resilience.
That symbolism guides our work.
Like the Iroko tree, effective psychiatry must be steady, grounded, and life-giving. Iroko Psychiatry is built to provide stability during periods of stress, transition, and recovery—through care that blends science, empathy, and cultural awareness.
Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality mental health services that honor the whole person—mind, body, and lived experience.
Dr. Henry Onyeaka is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of Iroko Psychiatry.
He completed his psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, both teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. During residency, he served as Chief Resident in Addiction Psychiatry and received national recognition for clinical excellence and research.
He earned his Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where his work focused on population health and improving access to behavioral care.
Dr. Onyeaka currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and works part-time as a Staff Psychiatrist at McLean Hospital.
With extensive clinical experience across diverse healthcare systems, including early medical practice in Ghana and Nigeria, his approach blends evidence-based psychiatry with cultural awareness, empathy, and measurement-driven care.
Patients and collegues know him as “Dr. O,” a psychiatrist committed to delivering mental health services that are clinically rigorous and deeply human.
Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality mental health services that honor the whole person—mind, body, and lived experience.
